The Activation Service is a 24x7x365, secure and automated activation service that will significantly reduce staff and programming costs plus it saves you from having to invest in additional infrastructure.
This service allows developers to start shipping their products right away without time consuming and expensive server setup and scripting. The licenses can be purchased as required (they are issued as a text file that can be easily used in house, printed on labels or given to a third party for automatic distribution) and offer a cost effective easy way to offer 'cost reducing' Internet Activation to end users.
This service is provided using two types of activation, the first for users without restrictions from firewalls and proxy servers and a self service web site for those with security issues - an essential duo, as without the ability to offer both your support costs will be signficantly higher from callers within Enterprises or behind secure Internet defences.
In addition, the publisher has access to our Activation Portal where they can manage the entire activation process from controlling activation to downloading reports and registration data (option). The service also allows you to gather business intelligence about such things as serial number abuse and product activation activities.
The service also includes the ability for the end user to return the license to the server with
one click for storage while changing PCs or upgrading their system. This is very convenient and customer friendly and eliminates the hassles for users wishing to 'move' their license without contacting you - saves them time and you money!
